Joe Lally is an alchemist, working through one image
repeated and varied seven-hundred times seven-hundred
thousand times. Through the lens and chemical
interaction of human flesh, blood and bones with the
digital medium, he wishes to imprint “the throb of
desire” on every living creature. It is not brilliance he
seeks, but this marking through pictorial, in order to
heighten the sensory relation to existence.
