Harrison Elkins: What’s been your best fashion experience thus far?
Oskar Tranum: Probably being the Prada exclusive in Milan this past January.
That was my first international show and it was a crazy experience.
As if that wasn’t crazy enough, the repercussions since have been super exciting!
HE: If you were an animal, what kind would you be?
OT: A unicorn
HE: If you were a shirt what kind would you be and why?
OT: If I were a shirt I’d be a flannel, and I would be blue…or,
I don’t know that’s a ridiculous question (laughs)! I have no idea.
I would be shirtless.
HE: Who do you think would win in a battle between a ninja and a pirate?
OT: A ninja of course. They’re dressed in black and can jump,
spin and do tricks. Pirates can only say ‘Yarrrr’ and sing.
HE: How often do you wash your hair?
OT: Every second day. But, during fashion week
like sixteen times a day cause they put all that stuff in and it takes
an eternity to get it out. It looks great for an hour or so
then you’re stuck with this mess for days. It’s worth it though
because the hair is just so incredible. However it’s not fun waking up
with your pillow smelling and feeling like the floor of a discothèque.
I don’t know what kind of grease they use but it’s like the fifth element.
HE: What’s your best skill?
OT: Probably something with music.
I studied Jazz drumming back in Denmark.
HE: Are you in a band?
OT: Six or seven different bands (laughs).
But, my main project right now is called Doktor Doktor.
Doctor with a ‘k’, the Danish way to spell it.
It’s a mix between Hip-Hop and Jazz and I’m the drummer.

HE: Describe your summer for us.
OT: After the mens shows in Paris and Milan
I went home to Denmark to spend time with family and friends.
I played music as well as went to some concerts, mainly just relaxing.
I did play a few shows though at
the Copenhagen Jazz Festival though which was great.
HE: What’s your midnight snack?
OT: Salmon tartar
HE: What would be your ideal sort of party?
OT: The only music would be the Rocky theme song
and there would be plenty of salmon tartar and French horns.
That would be a great party…oh and it would be in a forest somewhere.
HE: What’s your most current obsession?
OT: I’m insanely addicted to chocolate and if I encounter some
I can’t stop eating it until there’s nothing left or until I puke…or die.
