Julian Schratter about fashion, photography and smoking weed.

Matthew Edelstein: Where are you from? How long have you lived in New York City?
Julian Schratter: I’m from the Bay Area in Northern California.
I’ve been in New York since 2007
ME: How do you use fashion in your daily life?
JS: to my advantage! I’ve been given this opportunity to have
an insiders view of an industry that is very glamorized, publicized and talked about.
So I bought a camera to take pictures of everything.

CE Editor-in-Chief Matthew Edelstein speaks to student, party girl
and budding fashion executive Amanda Doman.

Matthew Edelstein: Where are you from?
How long have you lived in New York City?
Amanda Doman: Born and raised in New York City.
22 years and counting….
ME: How do you use fashion in your daily life?
AD: Wearing it! I think everything we choose to wear,
whether we’re conscious of it or not, is a way of expressing
and using fashion. There’s something to be said about people who
claim to have no interest in fashion — making the decision
not to buy a particular brand or catch on to a trend
is a statement in itself.
